ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — About 2,600 people who have come through the line at the convention center have now been fully vaccinated.
Health officer Dr. Raul Pino said people might want to take off work the next day after getting the second vaccine, because a fever, body aches and headache can be expected after the second dose.
Pino said this happens because your body is already primed to identify the vaccine.

Doctors said the vaccine side effects can be a little more severe for younger people.
Health leaders said, so far, they haven’t seen anyone have any immediate major reactions to the second shot at the Orange County Convention Center site. However, they did have to transport someone via ambulance after the first shot for throwing up, but they’re not sure if it was related to the vaccine.
Otherwise, everyone they’ve observed out here for up to half an hour has only had minor issues.

As for taking anything to help with the fever, aches and pains, doctors said you can take Tylenol after you experience those side effects, but not before.
