Florida state senator proposes bill aimed at erasing marijuana convictions

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Sen. Randolph Bracy hosted a news conference on Tuesday to discuss a new bill that is aimed at erasing marijuana convictions.

Bracy said the bill would create a pathway for criminal record expungement for those who have misdemeanor marijuana convictions.

According to a news release, Bracy said the criminalizing the possession of small amounts of marijuana has disproportionately harmed minorities and disadvantaged communities.
