Governor requests information from state attorney’s office on accused Pine Hills shooter’s record

The letter calls for the state attorney’s office to turn over the information by March 14.

Worrell responded to the letter Wednesday afternoon saying the accusations that her policies promote crime are empty political statements that are unsupported by facts. She also said she is gathering the records requested

DeSantis’ office sent the letter on the same day that Worrell sat down with Channel 9 to defend her office’s track record, saying she was being blamed for a system that was understaffed, underfunded, and ill-equipped to deal with the problems of today.
