Florida reports 119 coronavirus-related deaths, adds almost 5K new cases

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida reported a total of 4,555 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday and 119 additional deaths statewide.

Of the latest deaths, 18 were reported in Central Florida, including seven in Polk County, three in Orange, three in Brevard, two in Osceola County and one in Flagler County.

“Coronavirus

The state’s total death toll is now 10,186 with 10,049 of those being Florida resident deaths.

The number of COVID-19 cases throughout Florida now stands at 588,602 since testing began earlier this year.

While most of Central Florida has reported a decline in COVID-19 cases, two local counties have seen a recent uptick in cases. Click here to read more about that.
