BAY LAKE, Fla. — Walt Disney World announced its two water parks, Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, will remain closed until next year.
The theme park said it plans to reopen one of the two Disney water parks on March 7, 2021. They didn’t say which one they will open first.
The company said it will “welcome back Guests and Cast Members to our water parks in a responsible way, with a plan focused on health and well-being.”

The park is offering options to guests with “existing Premier Passport, Platinum Plus Pass, Water Parks Annual Pass, Water Parks After 2 Annual Pass or tickets that include the Park Hopper Plus Option or Water Park & Sports Option.”

Ticket add-ons
Guests with tickets that include the Park Hopper Plus Option or Water Park & Sports Option have a few options.
They can have their tickets modified by contacting the Disney Reservation Center at 407-934-7639.
Guests can also cancel their ticket if they don’t want to use it. They are asked to call the Disney Reservation Center at 407-934-7639.
Disney said guests can also use the ticket at other experience available during their visit.

Water park tickets
Disney said it will automatically extend unused, unexpired one-day Disney water park tickets through Dec. 31, 2021.
Guests may also choose to cancel their ticket by calling 407-939-2732.
Water park annual passes
The park said guests with annual passes to the water parks will have their passes automatically extended for the period in which both water parks were closed.
Passholders can also choose to cancel their pass by calling 407-939-2732.
Platinum Plus and Premier annual pass holders
Guests who have Platinum Plus or Premier passes will be issued a partial refund.
