Deputies identify husband, wife killed in apparent murder-suicide

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County deputies have identified a husband and wife that were killed on New Year’s Day.

On Sunday, deputies responded to a shooting call on the 7500 block of Fordham Creek Lane around 1 a.m.

When deputies arrived, they found 3 people shot inside the home.

A woman in her 20s was transported to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to recover. The woman has invoked Marsy’s Law and is not being named.

The other shooting victim, identified as 50-year-old Indira Kissoonchand, was transported to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The shooter, 52-year-old Jagdesh Kissoonchand, was found dead with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to a news release, there were no calls for service to this address in the past, and no history of violence in Jagadesh Kissoonchand’s background.
