Orange Counties deputies looking for person of interest in deadly shooting near UCF campus

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an individual who may have information regarding the shooting death of 23-year-old Jesus Calle.

Calle was shot and killed Saturday morning on the 12000 block of University Boulevard, deputies said.

Orange County sheriff deputies are investigating the deadly shooting that happened at the Plaza on University at approximately 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Deputies are looking for a person who may have information that could lead detectives to finding out who shot and killed Calle.

The building where the shooting occurred is located across the street from the campus of the University of Central Florida, near the intersection of University Boulevard and State Road 434.

Deputies said the victim was shot and then transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The shooter or shooters fled the scene before deputies arrived.
