Charity offers free vet care for homeless people’s pets in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — A national charity is helping some local homeless people take care of their pets.

The Elle-Vet Project stopped by the Christian Service Center on Thursday.

Dogs, cats and even a turtle were treated with free vet care.

Workers also provided bags of food.

In the last year, the nonprofit helped 3,000 animals around Orange County.

This year, the organization hopes to treat 5,000 pets.
