Faison, a mother of three, was murdered as she walked home from work near the intersection of South Orange Avenue and 6th Street just after 6 a.m.
Shovell Faison says despite her grief, she is thankful for the news she got last night.
“Thank you, Jesus. I called everybody under the sun today that was on my phone. Last night, I woke everybody up,” she said.
According to an arrest report, Fiason’s boyfriend, Dimity Pearson, called her place of work hours before the shooting and threatened her life.
Pearson, who was booked into the Orange County jail, was scheduled to appear before a judge Tuesday afternoon but did not make an appearance.
