An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man who allegedly helped dump an Apopka teen’s body and get rid of the the evidence, according to court records.
Markese Mosley-McNeil was ordered held on $10,150 bond, which means he could walk out of jail with about $1,000 until his case goes to trial for the death of 19-year-old Ahmad Davis.
A probable cause affidavit shows an anonymous tip led police to Mosley-McNeil and another suspect, Tyquarius Smith. The tipster told police the men were in Mosley-McNeil’s girlfriend’s car and “set up Ahmad Davis to be robbed” on Monday, the affidavit states.
Ring doorbell video at Davis’ mother’s home on Rockwood Drive in Apopka shows Davis leaving the house at 10 a.m. Another video shows Davis getting into a silver Toyota Avalon, the same vehicle that matched Mosley-McNeil’s girlfriend’s, according to the affidavit.

Mosley-McNeil and his girlfriend were spotted in the same car Thursday with “bullet holes in the front passenger side door,” the affidavit says. McNeil admitted to police he was driving the car where he says a backs eat passenger, who isn’t named, allegedly shot Davis.
Police say Mosley-McNeil also confessed to dumping Davis’ body along the West Orange Trail, where a man and his granddaughter were riding bikes when they discovered the body.
Mosley-McNeil also told police he was trying to clean the car, and is now facing charges for that too.
The judge on Friday ordered Mosley-McNeil to not possess any weapons or firearms, and he was not allowed to have any contact with witnesses in the case.
Mosley-McNeil only had one other case, according to court records, which was for a robbery with a firearm in February 2019.
