Orange County task force members brainstorm how to combat gun violence

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County community members gathered on Tuesday to discuss ways to combat gun violence in the county.

Members of the Citizens Safety Task Force heard from leaders of several programs and services Tuesday about how they can help lead the county’s young people down the right path away from crime.

The task force recently reconvened after a shooting spree in Pine Hills left three people dead. Now they’re working to tackle violence and its impacts on the community.

Something they tried to reiterate Tuesday was the need to let the community know what’s being said during and done after the meetings.
