Orange County Sheriff’s Office releases final report about Bob Saget’s death

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Sheriff’s Office released its final report about actor and comedian Bob Saget’s death on Tuesday.

Saget died inside a room at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando in January.

Orange County deputies have stated that a medical examiner found accidental head trauma to be the cause of Saget’s death, and drugs and alcohol were not found in his system.

The report said Saget had slight swelling and a small bruise in the corner of his left eye.

There were no other indications of any type of trauma or injury.

The medical examiner said the injury to Saget’s head appeared to come from something hard, covered by something softer, like a carpeted floor.

Deputies said they couldn’t find anything in the hotel room that definitely caused the injury.

In the report, officers said they spoke with several people that talked to Saget before his death.

Everyone that was interviewed mentioned that Saget did not appear to be drunk or drugged.

There were no signs of drugs or alcohol was found in his body.

On Monday, a Florida judge permanently blocked the release of some of the photos and other records related to Saget’s death.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said it “will comply with the order, while remaining committed to transparency and following the law regarding access to public records.”
