Orange County has ‘effectively contained the virus,’ mayor says

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings said Tuesday during a news conference that Orange County has “effectively contained" the COVID-19 virus.

Florida reports 44 deaths linked to COVID-19 as daily cases remain below 2K

The two-week COVID-19 positivity rate average for Orange County is 4.8%, Demings said.

For the second straight day, health officials reported less than 2,000 new cases of coronavirus statewide.
