ORLANDO, Fla. — Orange County officials were once again forced to close its portal for Individual and Family Assistance Program after receiving its quota for applicants.
The website started accepting applications at 8 a.m. Monday, but closed about an hour later.
The county said the portal’s reopening would be announced on social media.
People who are approved would collect $1,000.

That money would go directly to an applicant, rather than to a landlord or utility company.
County officials said nearly 19,000 people have already applied for the grant and more than 1,100 people have been approved for the money.
Orange County said some applications without social security numbers, proper ID, or proof that the pandemic caused financial hardship have been rejected.
