ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Convention Center’s COVID-19 testing site line was cut off early Friday to “allow all cars in the queue to be processed,” officials said.
Leaders said they are estimating the active virus swab test to exceed 1,600 tests by 5 p.m.
On Friday, Florida reported the most cases of the virus since the pandemic began with more than 8,900 new cases of COVID-19.
The previous record of 5,508 cases in one day was set two days ago.
