Orange County to break ground on 8 new pickleball courts

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — One of the fastest-growing sports in America is about to get bigger in Central Florida.

On Aug. 29, Orange County Parks and Recreation officials will break ground on eight pickleball courts at Downey Park on Flowers Avenue, according to a news release.

The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. It will be hosted by Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings and District 4 Commissioner Maribel Gomez Cordero.
