Nearly 50,000 passengers flew out of Orlando on Thanksgiving Day this year, a 115-percent increase from 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic limited traveling.

Compared to pre-pandemic totals from 2019, departures were still down, but only slightly.

Thanksgiving day departures were only down by about two-percent from what was actually recorded in 2019, which was itself a record-breaking day at OIA.
