WINDERMERE, Fla. — A 19-year-old man remains in the Orange County jail Tuesday after he was arrested on charges of running over a Windermere police officer's foot during a traffic stop.
The incident was caught on the officer's body camera.
Officers said they pulled over Tyrone Fitz-Dane for speeding on Monday on 6th Street. As the officer approached the vehicle, he said he smelled marijuana coming from the car.
Police said Fitz-Dane was sitting with one foot out of the car when the officer asked him to step out of the vehicle and questioned him the marijuana smell.

Fitz-Dane slid back into his seat, grabbed the gearshift and attempted to close the door on the officer, police said.
According to an arrest report, the officer grabbed Fitz-Dane and ordered him out of the vehicle, but Fitz-Dane was able to shift the car into gear and drive with the officer still in the door.
Fitz-Dane struck the officer, spun him off the car and ran over his right foot as he fled, police said.
A vehicle pursuit ensued from Chase Road to State Road 535 to eastbound Interstate 4 and ultimately ended on I-4 between the Lake Buena Vista and Sea World exits, police said.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office assisted with deploying stop sticks, and a helicopter was called to assist.
Fitz-Dane's car rolled to a stop when its front tire blew.
Police said they found a Glock 19 semi-automatic handgun and 130 grams of marijuana in the car's trunk, along with a smaller amount of marijuana in the front of the vehicle.
Fitz-Dane was charged with aggravated battery on a police officer, resisting a police officer with violence, resisting a police officer without violence, felony possession of cannabis, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony and felony fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer.
The officer involved was treated for minor injuries at Dr. Phillips Hospital and was released.
