ORLANDO, Fla. — Orange County detectives are conducting a death investigation near Boggy Creek Road.
Orlando police originally responded to the discovery of a dead body near 8810 Boggy Creek Road around 7:40 a.m. before turning the investigation over the Sheriff’s Office.
Police turned the investigation over the Sheriff's Office because it was in the Sheriff's Office jurisdiction.
Police said they believed the death to be suspicious, but the Sheriff’s Office has not yet determined if the death is a homicide.
Homicide detectives have identified the body, a 28-year-old hispanic man, and said there was no trauma to the body.
The victim's identity will be released once next-of-kin have been notified.
Detectives have not yet determined the method or manner of death.
The medical examiner will be conducting an autopsy to determine that information.
