ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — With magnet school application season here, Orange County Public Schools is hosting a virtual fair for parents and students to see more about what magnet programs are being offered.

OCPS has 46 magnet programs offered in 33 places among elementary, middle and high schools.

Some of the programs include University High School’s Performing Fine Arts, Lakeview Middle School’s World Language Academy and Maxey Elementary School’s Visual and Performing Arts.

Students must apply for the magnet program at www.schoolchoice.ocps.net.

The application window is now open until Feb. 15, 2023.

If there are more applicants than the number of seats available in a specific program, students are selected through a lottery.
