Ocoee police seeking information on person seen on video shooting into home on Memorial Day

OCOEE, Fla. — The Ocoee Police Department is asking for help tracking down the person caught on camera firing gunshots into a local home on Memorial Day.

The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. Monday on Blackwood Ave.

Police shared video of the incident from a home security camera in an attempt to identify the shooter. It shows the suspect standing in front of the entrance of the home, apparently talking to someone on a cellular phone in their right hand with a handgun already drawn in their left hand.

The suspect then raised the gun and fired at the front of the home multiple times. According to police, the home was occupied at the time, but no injuries were reported.

The shooter can be seen calmly walking away through the victim’s driveway as the video ends.

The suspect appears to be wearing a hat and face covering with dark pants, but a very distinctive shirt.

The Ocoee Police Department is asking anyone with information on the shooting to call them at (407) 905-3160.

To remain anonymous, tips can be relayed through Central Florida Crimeline at (800) 423-8477. Crimeline tips that lead directly to an arrest could be eligible for a reward.
