Ocoee Fire Department set to hold community open house

OCOEE, Fla. — The Ocoee Fire Department is giving residents a chance to feel like a firefighter with an open house for the community.

Guests will have the opportunity to tour the fire station, learn about fire types of equipment, and go inside different vehicles on display to get the feeling of a firefighter.

The event will feature family-friendly activities such as face painting, a bounce house, and door prizes.

Children will get a chance to play firefighter by getting the chance to spray water from a fire hose, with the help of a trained firefighter.

Residents will enjoy free food, blood pressure checks, and other giveaways.

As we prepare for another hurricane, the Ocoee Fire Department will also share storm preparedness information with the public.

The open house will be held on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station 25, located at 536 South Bluford Ave
