According to a social media post, officers put a “unique and festive twist on the traditional traffic stop—transforming a stressful situation into one that brought surprise and joy.”
During the stop, after explaining the reason behind the traffic stop, instead of writing a citation, officers gave the person a $100 bill.
Ocala police said its officers were thrilled to play Santa and spread Christmas cheer this holiday season.
Officers gave cash out to 20 different people.
The money was donated to the Ocala Police Department anonymously.
