Ocala police officer injured in crash

OCALA, Fla. — An Ocala Police officer was involved in a crash with two other vehicles Monday evening, according to the police department.

The crash happened just before 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of West Silver Springs Blvd. and Southwest 23rd Ave.

The officer was taken to the hospital and is expected to be fine.

Police say no one else involved in the crash was seriously injured.

Their investigation into what led up to the crash is ongoing.
