New Smyrna Beach woman accused of conspiracy to commit murder

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — A 50-year-old New Smyrna Beach woman is in jail, accused of plotting to have a man killed.

New Smyrna Beach police said they were first contacted about the case by Daytona Beach police Friday.

Police said Pamela Vanorsdale contacted and offered to provide a gun for a man she hoped would be able to kill another man for her.

She was later arrested by New Smyrna Beach police.

After searching Vanorsdale’s home, police said they were able to find the gun she planned to hand over for the crime.

She’s now in the Volusia County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
