A Winter Park company wants to build an indoor rock-climbing gym in Apopka.

Be Climbing Inc. proposed a 30,000-square-foot location on Clarcona Road, according to city documents. The company owns 7 forest acres to the north of State Road 414 where it wants to build the project.
According to the company’s website, it has a goal to have feature lead and top rope walls up to 65 feet in height, as well as speed climbing and bouldering walls. The company said it wants to expand nationally after building this flagship location.
