New monoclonal antibody treatment sites open in Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida will open five new monoclonal antibody treatment sites on Tuesday.

One new site will open in Altamonte Springs. It is located at the former Walgreens location on State Road 436.

According to the Florida Department of Health, the treatments can prevent severe illness, hospitalization and death in high-risk patients who have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19.

Monoclonal antibody treatments are free and vaccination status does not matter.

Health officials said the monoclonal antibody treatment showed a 70% reduction in hospitalization and death in clinical trials.

Brevard County

Barton Boulevard Site — 910 Barton Boulevard, Rockledge.

Marion County

Ocala Regional Medical Center — 1431 Southwest 1st Avenue, Ocala

Lakeland Regional Medical Center — 1324 Lakeland Hills Boulevard, Lakeland.

Walgreens Store #4005 — 705 1st Street South, Winter Haven.

Former Walgreens Location — 1201 West State Road 436, Altamonte Springs.

Sumter County
