New kids play area coming to Aquatica

Whanau Way is an inner tube water slide at Aquatica, part of SeaWorld Orlando.

ORLANDO, Fla. — A new play area for kids is set to open at Aquatica this spring.

Water park officials said Turi’s Kid Cove will feature watering palms, tipping buckets, spraying jets and water bobbles.

There will also be a new water slide, called Tamariki Twirl, which features a pint-sized half pipe for kids.

Officials said the new play area will be located between Big Surf Shores and Mango Market.

The new offerings come as the water park celebrated its 15-year anniversary this month.
