National Weather Service confirms tornado touched down in southern Brevard County

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The National Weather Service confirmed that a EF-0 tornado touched down in southern Brevard County on Sunday damaging more than 30 homes.

“I’ve been through countless hurricanes; I have never in my life seen anything so fast, so violent, so quick. It was just crazy!” one resident said.

The tornado is confirmed to have brought winds of 60 to 70 mph to the Micco area.

Residents woke to debris strewn across the area and missing roofs.

No injures were reported in the storm.
