NASA releases ghostly sound recorded from black hole

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — NASA said it has recorded the sound of a black hole.

NASA captured the sound from 240 million light-years away in the Perseus galaxy cluster.

Scientists say the sound is created by ripples in surrounding hot gas caused by pressure waves from the black hole.

Humans are unable to hear the actual sound, so NASA amplified it and mixed it with related data.
