‘My baby still deserves justice’: No arrests 2 months after toddler shot in car seat

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Zariyah Banks, 3, was sitting in her car seat inside her mother’s car when a bullet hit the car, traveled through the seat, and entered her arm.

“As I get her out of the car, it’s literally blood everywhere, I just started screaming,” her mother Atikrah Daniel said.

The shooting happened at the Hidden Creek Villas apartment complex on Texas Avenue two months ago, and deputies say no arrests have been made.

“My baby still deserves justice, I don’t care how long it takes,” Daniel said.

Daniel is pleading for someone to come forward with information on who pulled the trigger.

Daniel and her daughter still have to go to doctor’s visits to make sure her bones are growing correctly. Daniel said right now she’s trying to move.
