It happened just after 10 p.m. Tuesday at Riley’s Mobile Home Park off of Highway 441 in Mount Dora.
Lake County officials said one man was pulled out of the home and airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries.
Witnesses told Channel 9 the man was trapped inside the home for several minutes before he was able to escape the rubble.
“He was completely covered with concrete blocks it took a couple guys 5-10 minutes just to dig him out,” said Jeremy Jenkins, who lives next door to the now wrecked home.
The Lake County Fire Department, Mount Dora Fire Department, and Lake County EMS all responded to the scene.
Officials said, “The cause and exact nature of the incident are under investigation.”
Neighbors told Channel 9 they smelled gas in the air after the explosion and watched police inspect the propane tanks in the mobile home community.
