Mother says 7-year-old hurt by drone at holiday show continues to recover

ORLANDO, Fla. — A 7-year-old boy who was hurt by a crashing drone at a holiday show continues to recover from his injuries, according to family.

The boy’s mother sent Channel 9 a photo showing his progress after undergoing open heart surgery.

She said he’s doing well and is making good progress.

He was injured during a holiday drone show at Lake Eola on Saturday.

Several drones crashed during the performance, and some flew into the crowds, including the one that hit the buy.

His mother, Adriana Edgerton, spoke with Channel 9 the next morning.

“I was freaking out that I was going to lose my baby because he was losing consciousness,” she said.
