Monkeypox case reported in individual connected to Orange County school

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A monkeypox case has been reported in an individual connected to Wedgefield School, Orange County Public Schools said Wednesday afternoon.

The person has not been on the K-8 campus since Sept. 7 and will remain home until cleared to return, the district said.

All areas of the school have been “thoroughly cleaned and sanitized,” the district said.
