Highs should top out around 96 degrees in Central Florida, but meteorologist Brian Shields said it will feel much hotter.

There’s a 40% chance of afternoon storms on Monday.

Our rain chances will increase to around 50% on Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing the return of our typical afternoon summer storm pattern.
As we kick off August, the tropics remain calm. In fact, Shields said it was the quietest July in 13 years in the tropics.
