Missing canoer found dead in Banana River after days of searching, FWC says

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — A canoer who went missing over the weekend has been found dead in the Banana River, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Alain Charles, 34, of Pompano Beach, was located by FWC’s dive team Wednesday around 1:30 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing and additional details will be released when available, FWC said.

The search for Charles began Sunday.
