MIMS, Fla. — The family of Cari Lynn Haas and Levi Hunter Rowan is still coming to terms with their loss after the mother and son died in a fire at their Kingswood Drive home in Mims.

One family member managed to survive the devastating fire.

A family member of the victims told Channel 9 that that Rowan would have turned 13 on May 15. He attended Madison Middle School in Titusville, where grief counselors were on hand Monday.
The state fire marshal’s office said an electrical issue hasn’t been ruled out, but the cause of the fire remains undetermined.
