A South Florida-based restaurant chain will open its second Central Florida location in Apopka in the new year.

1960 E Semoran Blvd LLC, an entity tied to La Brasa Grill out of Miami, bought the shuttered NYPD Pizza at 1960 E. Semoran Blvd. for $1.7 million in a deal that closed Dec. 5, according to Orange County records.

The buyer was represented by Michael Castrilli of First Capital Property Group. The sellers, Parmesan Properties LLC out of Ocala, could not be reached for comment.
