BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — NASA and SpaceX are scheduled to launch four astronauts to the International Space Station aboard a Falcon 9 rocket early Thursday as part of their Crew-6 mission.
The next launch attempt for Crew-6 is scheduled for Thursday at 12:34 a.m.

With the countdown to launch only days away, here’s what you need to know about the four astronauts scheduled to be on board:
NASA Astronaut Stephen G. Bowen
According to NASA, Bowen was the first Submarine Officer to be selected as an astronaut by NASA. He has logged more than 40 days in space including 47 hours and 18 minutes in seven spacewalks. NASA said he is scheduled to launch to the International Space Station as commander of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-6 mission.

NASA Astronaut Warren Hoburg
Warren “Woody” Hoburg was selected by NASA to join the 2017 Astronaut Candidate Class. NASA said the Pennsylvania native earned a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Hoburg is scheduled to launch to the International Space Station as pilot of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-6 mission.

UAE (United Arab Emirates) astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi
According to UAE National Space Programme, AlNeyadi is a native of Abu Dhabi who previously served in the Armed Forces before earning his PhD in Information Technology (Data Leakage Prevention) in Australia. UAE National Space Programme officials said AlNeyadi completed his first year of training at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in 2021, becoming officially certified to work as an operator onboard the International Space Station. He will surve as a mission specialist on NASA’s SpaceX Crew-6 mission.

Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev
According to the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, Fedyaev graduated from the Krasnodar Military Aviation Institute with a degree in Operation of Air Transport and Air Traffic Control, Pilot Engineer in 2004. Fedyaev will serve as a mission specialist on NASA’s SpaceX Crew-6 mission as part of an agreement between the State Corporation Roscosmos and NASA.
