ORLANDO, Fla. — Orlando Pride posted on social media that Marta has an announcement on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Marta is currently out of contract, and fans have been waiting to see if she will sign a new contract with Orlando Pride, retire, or decide to go somewhere else.
Some fans said they thought she would retire when Orlando Pride won the NWSL Championship.

Marta currently sits as the all-time goals (27) and appearance (84) leader in Pride history.
She has also won FIFA Women’s Player of the Year a total of six times.
