Marion County residents stock up on cold-weather supplies

MARION COUNTY, Fla. — People in Marion County are getting ready for the impacts of the cold weather.

Residents were out in Wildwood this week, stocking up on cold-weather supplies at the Sparr Building and Farm Supply store.

Folks were slaking up on space heaters and blankets for their livestock.

“I’ve got this kerosene to build a fire so we can finish putting up a fence,” one shopper told Channel 9.

One sales associate told Channel 9 that kerosene was one of their most in-demand items.

The location was running low on kerosene Monday and was waiting for a truck to refill their tank.

However, they still had plenty of heating equipment.
