Man’s body found in SUV submerged in Osceola County pond

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is trying to figure out exactly how and when a man drove into a pond in Osceola County and died.

According to FHP, someone spotted an SUV completely submerged in the pond Thursday near a parking lot in the area of Hoagland Blvd. and Pug Mill Rd.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team responded to the area Friday and found the vehicle with the driver still in it that afternoon.

Troopers are still waiting for a positive identification on the driver. They believe he was driving in an old construction parking lot when he went into the pond.

Investigators are still trying to determine the day the crash actually occurred.
