ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — According to police, Devin Jefferson, was heading southbound on Maitland Boulevard when he was approached by a car and shot multiple times. Moments after the shooting, Jefferson struck his white BMW into a light pole, then ran out of his car to call 911.

Altamonte Springs resident David Glass said it a shooting like this was very uncommon in that area of the city.
"You don't see this type of stuff happen in this area," he said. "So to see that happen is pretty scary."
