ORLANDO, Fla. — Police in Orlando said a man is dead after an officer-involved shooting Monday night.

The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. on Shining Willow Terrace, not far from Evans High School.
Officers said they responded to a home for reports of a domestic disturbance, and they were forced to shoot a man after he reached for a gun.

Investigators said Timothy Woods was the man who was shot and killed by police.
The Orlando Police Department is releasing details about the deceased suspect in last night’s officer-involved shooting at 2818 Shining Willow Terrace.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting, which is standard practice for officer-involved shootings.
