Man dies after being rescued from surf at Daytona Beach Shores

DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, Fla. — A man died after he was rescued from the surf at Daytona Beach Shores on Saturday.

Officials said lifeguards pulled two people from the water around 4 p.m.

One of the people rescued, an adult man, was taken to Halifax Hospital in Port Orange, where officials said he was pronounced dead.
