VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — A man was arrested Friday after he struck and killed a 43-year-old man in July, police said.

The New Smyrna Beach Police Department said it arrested Jeffrey Krull after he failed to return to the scene of the crash when he struck and killed Timothy Calabrese.

Officers said Calabrese was found dead around 1:10 a.m. on Jul. 12 in the median of U.S. 1 (North Dixie Freeway), not far from Sleepy Hollow Road.

Krull was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death.
