Man arrested after dragging, killing girlfriend on I-75, troopers say

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A man was arrested after he dragged his girlfriend for several hundred feet on I-75, killing her, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Ryan Le Boss was driving a black pickup truck on I-75 on Saturday.

Le Boss was seen swerving onto the grass shoulder near exit 399 near Alachua with the passenger door open, witnesses said.

Witnesses said Le Boss’ girlfriend, Eileen Bocca, was seen hanging out of the door.

Troopers said Bocca was dragged for several hundred feet while holding onto the door.

Bocca fell from the pickup and was run over by the right rear tire, investigators said.

Le Boss then fled from the scene in an unknown direction, officials said.

Bocca was transported to a hospital, where she later died.

Troopers said about nine hours after the incident, they arrested Le Boss at his home in Columbia County.
