Man, 19, killed & 2 others injured in shooting during house party at Polk County vacation home

POLK COUNTY, Fla. — Three people, including two teens, were shot and one has died after a house party in Polk County turned deadly, deputies said.

Deputies said they were called to a home around 1:13 a.m. Sunday in the Solterra Resort in unincorporated Davenport.

A shooting happened at a short-term vacation rental home while an illegal open house party was going on, deputies said.

Investigators said three people, all from Orlando, were shot during the house party.

Two of the people shot, a 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old teen boy, are in stable condition and being treated at area hospitals.

Deputies said a 19-year-old man from Orlando died from his injuries. The name of the victim has not been released, and deputies have not said if they have any suspects.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said they are investigating the shooting and plan to release more information Monday afternoon.
