Make-A-Wish fulfills dreams of dozens of sick children with a trip to Disney World

ORLANDO, Fla. — Dozens of children with critical illnesses flew into Orlando on Wednesday today for a special vacation.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation booked them a trip to Disney World.

All 27 kids shared the same wish – to go to Disney World.

Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Airlines, and The Walt Disney Company made their wish come true.

Their flight from the big apple was packed full of memorable and magical moments including the genie himself.

The kids were all smiles when they arrived to cheers, balloons, and signs at Orlando International Airport.

“These children are really facing something challenging in their life to be able to qualify for a wish,” said Make_A-Wish CEO Leslie Motter. “And the fact that they get to feel the hope, strength and joy of a whole community coming together to grant their wish, it’s so important. It’s so meaningful.”

Make-A-Wish has been built and shaped by volunteers, fundraisers and donations.

It needs about three-billion airline miles and points to fulfill travel wishes every year.
