I-95 in Brevard County reopens after 1 killed in 5 vehicle crash, troopers say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a deadly crash in Brevard County.

Troopers said the crash happened around 8 a.m. on I-95 southbound near Ellis Road.

The crash also involved a vehicle that caught fire that had all southbound lanes closed for several hours.

Troopers said the crash involved a semi truck and four other vehicles.

Several Brevard County Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene.

Troopers said one person died at the scene.

Southbound traffic on I-95 was diverted off at the Pineda Causeway.
